EMPLOYMENT
1984-Present: Electrician (Nuclear), United States Navy
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of numerous electrical systems including lighting systems, alarm and indicating circuits and 4160/450 volt, 60, 15 and 400 hertz motors and generators.
- Responsible for directing and training more than 50 personal in watch standing responsibilities, troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
- Experience directing over 50 personal to maintain continuity of all electrical power to 4160 volt and 450 volt electrical distribution systems and maintaining emergency diesel power distribution, including extensive casualty experience and training.
- Coordinate casualty response teams to minimize effect of casualties on the operation of the electrical distribution system.
- Experience operating 1040/4160 volt, 30-60 hertz Turbine Generators, 4160 volt, 60 hertz Diesel Generators, 450 volt 400 hertz Motor Generators, 1040 volt 15 hertz Motor Generators.
- Experience operating a shutdown nuclear reactor plant, including directing and overall responsibility for all other watch standers.
- Experience working with various computer programs for organizing work projects, Internet research and intersystem communication.
- Extensive experience as the Leading Petty Officer for a 70-man division.
